City of Bandera Public Works Department is hiring.

The Public Works Department employee will participate in various jobs such as activities related to the water system, sanitary sewer system, City streets, parks, animal control, storm water system, and building and grounds maintenance.  Works under the direction of the, Public Works Director, Public Works Supervisor, and the City Administrator who gives guidance regarding City policy and City Council priorities. 

Full-time employees receive health insurance, life insurance, participation in Texas Municipal Retirement System, as well as 12 paid holidays, eight hours a month sick time and a week’s vacation after one year.  Part-time employees do not qualify for benefits. Starting pay $16.90 may be required to work overtime, weekends and holidays; in all weather conditions; under hazardous conditions, high structures; around operating equipment; in a noisy environment; with chemicals; and with the physical ability and stamina to perform strenuous physical work. Most work will be performed outdoors. Valid drivers license required.

The City of Bandera has a zero-tolerance policy regarding drugs. Any offer of employment is contingent on the successful completion of a drug test.
